This C5 sized card was created using coordinating cardstock from the 'Love Nest' glitter paper stack by 'My Minds Eye'.  Textured or matt features (such as feathers, cotton stitched border and stamped lettering) have been added to soften the dazzle of the glitter papers.

Monster tyres

The shell of this C5 sized card is frosted acetate with the blue insert showing through.  The mosters were hand drawn inside a stamped ring (or 'tyre'), then coloured with markers and embelished with crystal gloss and glitters.  Two moster tyres have been mounted higher than the others to add dimension.  Blue satin ribbon and foiled raffia have been fixed to the left hand side for balance, and an additional monster tyre is hiding on the insert.

Glossy butterflies

This DL-sized card has been constructed using leathergrain cardstock, white foam and pearlised butterfly print paper.  The border is machine stitched using white thread and the two 'escapee' butterflies have pearl bodies, glossy wings and have been texturised with an embossing tool.

Enchanted cottage

Features: The border of this card has been machine-stitched using white thread.  The cottage, trees and greeting have been stamped in black ink and coloured with water colour pencils. The cottage is mounted above the large tree to give a dimensional effect and the sun is a button tied with fuchsia coloured thread.  The card contains an insert that is colour-matched to the envelope and is C6 in size.

Rain drops

Features: This card has been constructed by machine-stitching ‘rain drops’ that descend from clouds displaying a gentle silvery pattern when held toward light.  One cloud has been mounted overlapping the other to give dimension and a sense of movement. Some of the rain drops end with a flourish and pearl bead, giving the impression of bouncing after a high fall.  The card is DL in size, with rounded corners to soften the scene, and includes an envelope with insert to match.

Oak Tree Tales pop-ups

This pair of DL sized pop-up cards are unadorned on the exterior and primarily made from recycled children's books (Oak Tree Tales: Miss Mouse by Dorothea King).  They achieve a great sense of depth, movement, adventure and friendship!

Above: In this card, thread has been used to re-create a washing line. One background tree has been mounted above the other to give a sense of depth and key features have been texturised to bring further life to the scene.

Butterfly specimen collection

This series of DL sized cards was created using leather grain navy cardstock, brads, ribbon, lace and images from a poster displaying butterfly specimens.  They come with cream envelopes.

After five collection

These miniature cards and matching envelopes measure approximately 10.5 x 9 cms. They have been constructed using lace, silver buckles, brads, ribbon and crystals. A wide variety of embossed, texturised, pearlised and metallic cardstock has been used to achieve a range of complimentary and elegant effects.
